Koh Yao offers luxury and exclusivity

Koh Yao Noi, located in the middle of
Phang Nga Bay between Phuket and Krabi, is best known for
the 5-star Six Senses Hideaway Yao Noi resort. As the
island develops and moves upmarket with a number of 4 and
5-star resorts catering to high-end tourists, residential
developers are looking to join the party.
Villaguna Residence & Spa is leading the way, having
launched their luxury villa development on the east coast
of the island in 2008. A total offering of 33 one, two and
three bedroom pool villas on a 150m stretch of beach makes
Villaguna the first luxury resort residential development
on Koh Yao Noi.
Talking to Property Report, Villaguna Director Patrick
Endelicher, explained why he chose Koh Yao Noi.
"Koh Yao Noi is a destination for a niche market. With the
presence of Six Senses, I felt the island would maintain
its status as a high-end tourist destination and therefore
would be a good location to create a beachfront resort
residence development."
"When researching potential development sites, I looked at
Phuket but land prices have become so high and buyers want
space and beachfront locations which are very difficult to
find on Phuket. Koh Yao Noi could offer this," added
Endelicher.
"We offer luxurious waterfront villas, single and
two-storey designs, and at reasonable prices."
Koh Yao Noi looks set to remain an attractive destination
for high-end tourists looking for a quiet getaway,
following the launch of a daily return speedboat service
from Phuket to Koh Yao Noi, and a number of new luxury
resorts being rumoured for the island. Six Senses are also
expected to be expanding and launching resort residences
for sale.
