Tai-Pan, Hua Hin Attracts Interest
Thailand Property Report
May 2008
Located in a countryside setting, just 8km or so from
Hua Hin itself, nestled between the picturesque Black
Mountains and the golf course of the same name, the
Tai-Pan Resort and Condominium Hua-Hin boasts a range of
on site facilities including a large swimming pool and spa
and offers outdoor activities such as trekking and horse
riding. The project is a low rise affair comprising four
elegantly designed buildings, each of four stories.
Backed by the same long-standing company that owns and
operates the Tai-Pan Hotel in Bangkok, and which has
recently developed the 21 story Ruamjai Heights
Condominium project on Sukhumvit Soi 15, Tai-Pan’s latest
offering is already attracting a great deal of interest.
Christopher Huie, Managing Director and owner said “In
this day and age, professionalism is needed and a track
record shows whether the developer is a newcomer or a
professional who knows what is he doing.”
Various unit sizes are on offer, from 46 square metre
studios starting at Bt2.99m2 to 172.2m2 penthouses priced
at around Bt10 million. “There has been strong interest in
all of the property types including the penthouses.” Huie
added.
Prices have been set in the Bt59,000 to Bt65,000 per m2
range and five units have already been sold with four
others awaiting confirmation.
One of the unique aspects of the project is the ability
for owners to participate in the Tai-Pan Resort rental
pool program, allowing them secure a good return on their
investment and ultimately enable the property to pay for
itself.
“Since Tai-Pan is already successfully engaged in the
hotel and resort business, we are well placed to manage
the rental of units when owners are away and wish to
realize a return.” Huie said. “Given that we have many
members, I would expect that the rental pool program would
allow owners to enjoy around a 60 per cent occupancy rate
based on a year-round basis, which would equate to
approximately a six and a half per cent return.” he added.
Completion is scheduled for 31 October 2008.
