Le Meridien sets sail in Pattaya

Those who believe they have spotted the world's
largest sailboat in the centre of Pattaya should not be
alarmed. Closer inspection will soon reveal the latest
addition to the Le Meridian family of luxury five star
hotels.
The twin towers, shaped like sails, are expected to become
the symbol of the city while attracting large numbers
upscale guests. With an investment worth more than Bt1
billion under the management of Star wood, the two-tower
building will feature "The Sails Pattaya" condominium in
one tower and Le Meridien Hotel in the second.
The landmark is a Grande Asset Developments project, and
already more than 15% complete. The 1 billion baht hotel
is located in a prime location close to Jomtien Beach and
is expected to open for business at the end of 2009.
